December 15, 2011 WV-DOH Meet and Consult Committee Meeting

The members of the MACC were called to order by Chairperson Donna Palmer at 11:00 am in the AFSCME Council 77 Conference Room in Charleston, WV.

            Roll call of members: Donna Palmer, Keith Woodruff, Jim Phares, Jeff Atkins and Delbert Bunner were present. Advisor John McBrayer – WV DOH was present. Advisors Greg Phillips – WV DOH and Pam Ray – AFSCME were absent.

            The minutes from the August 30, 2011 meeting were read and a motion by Jeff to approve the minutes “as read” was seconded by Keith and it passed.

            John addressed the mower upgrade issue. He said they are waiting on the Hay Group study for a decision.

John addressed the clothing stipend for mechanics – positive feedback.

There was discussion on leased vehicles - through the Department of Administration for statewide contracts. Charges for equipment are in question. The District Manager is to handle this.

            Jim asked about the 3-tier pay. – They are waiting on the Hay Group study on that issue also.

            Pool equipment letter was revised.

            Jim asked about the position issue.

The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 24, 2012 in the AFL-CIO Conference Room in Charleston at 11:00 am.

            A motion to adjourn was made by Jeff, seconded by Keith and passed. Meeting adjourned at 2:30pm.
